Project Summary
WestPro completed a full siding replacement on this Louisville, CO home in August 2025. The Problem
Our Project Consultant Diego was out at another inspection when he noticed that Barbara's siding was looking a little bit worse for wear. He decided to knock on her door and see if she might be interested in letting him do a free inspection and talk to her about the condition of her siding. Barbara was super sweet and inviting and was interested in replacing her siding to protect her home!
The existing siding had deteriorated to the point where simple patching would no longer work. The substrate behind the siding was also rotting in several areas, requiring replacement of a few boards to ensure a solid base for the new materials. A full replacement was necessary to address both the surface wear and the underlying structural issues.
Why It Needed Replacing
Repairing the old siding would not have addressed the damaged OSB sheathing found behind it during our inspection. Replacing the siding also allowed us to bring the entire exterior up to current standards with new trim and weather-resistant materials, ensuring a uniform look and long-lasting protection for the home.
What We Did
We began by removing the old siding and replacing damaged wall sheathing with new OSB where needed. Our team then installed James Hardie HardiePlank Lap Siding in Navajo Beige across the exterior surfaces. We also added James Hardie Panel Siding in Navajo Beige for accent areas to complete the wall coverage.
For the trim work, we installed James Hardie HardieTrim in Monterey Taupe finish to frame the windows and doors. The project scope included installing new drip edge along the eaves and rakes. We worked carefully to preserve Barbara's existing gutter system while completing all other exterior updates as she really loved the gutters she currently had on her home.
