Project Coordinated by Customer Service TeamRoof Replacement & Gutter Installation in Eaton, CO – Hail Damage Insurance Claim
Project Summary
We completed a full roof replacement and new gutter installation on this Eaton, CO home in September 2025. Our team installed GAF Timberline ArmorShield II shingles in Pewter Gray along with ABC Pro Guard 20 Synthetic Underlayment and GAF WeatherWatch Leak Barrier. The project was finished in late September.
The Problem
Tom reached out to us after a recent hail storm hit the area, concerned about potential damage to his home built in 2015. He wanted an inspection to check for possible issues before deciding on next steps. We scheduled the visit and assessed the condition of the asphalt shingles and gutters.
Our inspection revealed hail damage to both the roof and the existing gutter system. The wear indicated that the materials had been compromised by the storm impact. This level of damage meant the exterior components were no longer performing as intended. Our Project Consultant Alex recommended that Tom file an insurance claim based on the inspection findings.
Why It Needed Replacing
A simple repair would not have addressed the widespread hail damage across the roof surface or replaced the failing gutter system. Replacing the entire scope ensured all weathered and damaged materials were removed and updated to current standards with durable new products, such as a Class 4 shingle upgrade.
What We Did
We began by removing the old shingles and an extra layer of felt, checking the decking underneath which was in good shape with no replacement needed. We then installed ABC Pro Guard 20 Synthetic Underlayment across the roof deck and applied GAF WeatherWatch Leak Barrier along critical areas for added protection against water intrusion.
Next we installed GAF Timberline ArmorShield II Shingles in Pewter Gray, which are Class 4 impact-resistant. We finished the roof with GAF Pro-Start Starter Strip and GAF Seal-A-Ridge AS Ridge Cap Shingles in matching Pewter Gray. The work also included new step flashing, pipe jack flashing, drip edge along the eaves and rakes, and new roof vents. We completed the exterior upgrade by installing a 5-inch seamless aluminum gutter system.
Project Details
This two-story home in Eaton required a full replacement across 26.7 roofing squares, covering approximately 2,666 square feet of roof area. The scope also included 87 linear feet of new gutters to protect the foundation from water runoff.
The project involved coordinating with local building officials for permit approval and inspections before work could proceed. We completed all installation and final inspections by September 2025.

Price Context
This project was completed at approximately $7 per sq ft installed. This rate covers the complete installed scope for this home including tear-off, trim, gutters, and labor, not just the roof material alone, which is why a specific home's all-in cost usually runs above general material ranges. Because no two homes are identical, pricing varies from property to property.
The price reflects a full tear-off of existing shingle layers, synthetic underlayment, drip edge flashing, pipe jack replacement, standard ventilation, permit fees, and all installation labor. Homeowners considering a similar GAF ArmorShield II Shingles project in Colorado should generally expect pricing in the range of $6.75–$8.50/sq ft installed.
Costs can shift based on roof size, pitch, the number of existing shingle layers, ventilation upgrades, skylights, chimneys, decking replacement needs, and local building-code requirements. Colorado's Front Range is one of the most active hail markets in the country, making Class 4 impact-resistant options like ArmorShield II a practical choice for long-term protection. Pricing reflects WestPro project data and current Colorado Front Range supplier costs. For an exact price on your home, the best next step is a free, no-obligation inspection.
The Result
Finished in September 2025, this Eaton home now features a durable Class 4 impact-resistant roof that matches the new seamless aluminum gutters for a cohesive exterior. The updated Pewter Gray shingles and ridge caps provide a clean, uniform look while addressing the hail damage found during our inspection. Projects like this are common throughout Eaton where recent storms have impacted older asphalt roofs.
