Project Coordinated by Customer Service TeamHail Damaged Roof Replacement and Gutter Installation in Denver, CO – Fixing Home to Sell
Project Summary
WestPro completed a full roof replacement and gutter installation on this Denver home in November 2025. We installed GAF Timberline ArmorShield II shingles in Charcoal along with a 5-inch seamless aluminum gutter system. Our team also applied ABC Pro Guard 20 Synthetic Underlayment and GAF WeatherWatch Leak Barrier to protect the structure. The project took two days to finish.
The Problem
Steven called us because he wanted to put his home on the market soon and needed the exterior refreshed. During our initial inspection, we found hail damage affecting the roof, gutters, and siding. The original asphalt shingles were only about eight years old but showed clear signs of impact from the storm.
The roof material was compromised by the hail, leaving it vulnerable to leaks. The existing gutters were also damaged and no longer functioning properly. Because the damage was widespread across the roofing materials and drainage system, repairs would not have provided a lasting solution for a home heading to market.
Why It Needed Replacing
The roof was original and only eight years old, so a patch would not have addressed the worn underlayment beneath the shingles. A full replacement was necessary to bring the entire roof system up to current building codes rather than leaving aging components in place.
What We Did
We started by tearing off the old materials and preparing the roof deck. Our team installed GAF WeatherWatch Leak Barrier and IKO Stormshield Ice & Water Barrier in critical areas to prevent water intrusion. We then applied ABC Pro Guard 20 Synthetic Underlayment across the roof surface. Next, we installed GAF Pro-Start Starter Strip at the eaves before laying down GAF Timberline ArmorShield II Shingles in Charcoal. These shingles are Class 4 impact-resistant to handle Colorado hail. We finished the roof with GAF Seal-A-Ridge AS Ridge Cap Shingles in Charcoal.
We also replaced the drainage system with a 5-inch seamless aluminum gutter system in Charcoal Grey 80. The scope included new drip edge along the eaves and rakes, new step flashing, new pipe jack flashing, and new roof vents. This comprehensive approach ensured every component of the exterior envelope was updated and secure.

This home in Denver required a complete exterior refresh covering 18.3 roofing squares, which is approximately 1,833 square feet. The project also included 199 linear feet of new gutters to match the roof replacement. The work was completed in November 2025.

Price Context
This project is representative of a GAF ArmorShield II Shingles roof replacement in the Denver area. Because no two homes are identical, the final cost varies from home to home based on what the specific structure needs.
The price covers a full tear-off and replacement, permit, and labor. Homeowners considering a similar GAF ArmorShield II Shingles project in Colorado should generally expect pricing in the range of $6.75–$8.50/sq ft installed.
Pricing varies based on roof size, pitch, the number of existing shingle layers, and local building-code requirements. Colorado's Front Range is one of the most active hail markets in the country, so many homeowners choose Class 4 impact-resistant shingles for better durability.
